Education Atlas

The Atlas is a research and comparative analysis tool which, based on official statistical data — namely Population Censuses, information from DGEEC and results from the National Examination Board — enables the monitoring of the evolution of key educational indicators over the past three decades.

Through a multifactorial approach and across different scales of analysis, it articulates students’ academic outcomes with local socio-economic contexts, identifying territorial patterns, dynamics of change and different profiles of educational development. The use of mapping and the construction of territorial and school typologies support an in-depth understanding of educational inequalities and their spatial expressions.

In this sense, the Atlas is established as a knowledge and decision-support tool, contributing to planning processes, the definition of intervention priorities and the dissemination of good practices in the field of education policy.
