Our Team

The ESCXEL Project is developed by a broad and multidisciplinary team that brings together researchers from the Faculty of Social and Human Sciences of NOVA University Lisbon (NOVA FCSH), as well as local educational stakeholders involved in its implementation.

The research team works in close collaboration with the ESCXEL Coordinators, appointed by each partner Municipality, who ensure the connection between the University, local authorities and School Clusters.

The team also includes ESCXEL Mediators, responsible for fostering direct links with schools and ensuring the close monitoring of activities carried out on the ground.

Coordinators and Mediators provide local support for the activities of the ESCXEL Network, including the identification of educational needs, the organisation of planning meetings, the coordination of thematic seminars, the collection and organisation of data for the evaluation of educational policies, the dissemination of good practices, and institutional representation in Municipal Education Councils and other local or regional forums.

The diversity of profiles, experience and areas of expertise within the team reflects the collaborative nature of the ESCXEL Network, oriented towards improving educational practices, teaching and learning processes, educational outcomes, and the quality of local education systems.
