Biographical Note

Holds a PhD in Sociology and is an Assistant Professor at NOVA FCSH, in the Department of Sociology at the Autonomous Section of Education and General Training. She is also a researcher at CICS.NOVA and EDUNOVA.ISPA. She has participated in and coordinated several action-research projects in education, involving the development of indicators, models, guidelines, diagnostic studies, monitoring and evaluation processes, as well as teacher training initiatives. In addition to ESCXEL, her work includes participation in the ATLAS Project – Social and Local Contexts of School Success and Underachievement, as well as consultancy work with municipalities and the Regional Secretariat for Education of Madeira.
